LIKE MUCH OF OUR WORK THIS STARTS WITH A
SURVEY. ASIDE FROM KNOWING WHERE WE ARE STARTING
AND WHERE WE WANT TO END UP, WE NEED TO DETERMINE THE OBSTACLES THAT MIGHT BE
IN THE WAY, THE TERRAIN THAT THIS ROAD IS GOING TO CROSS AND WHAT OTHER DESIGN
CRITERIA WE HAVE TO PLAN FOR. |

WHO
OWNS THE LAND THAT IS BEING CROSSED? If
it is someone other than the person needing the road, we need to determine
whether an easement is in place or if one is needed. This
involves an agreement between the landowner(s) and the road user(s) and we
can help you with the easement description. |

IS
THERE SOME AGENCY OR ENTITY THAT WILL HAVE A SAY IN HOW THE ROAD NEEDS TO BE
DESIGNED? The answer to this may be found in the
above question…. Whose land are you crossing? We can design your road to a general
standard or meet the standards dictated by a governing authority. For example, Fremont County road
standards are found within the subdivision regulations: HERE |
